Welcome to "Men Do Talk," a podcast about the many faces of grief and the journey of navigating through it. Join Serge and Lee, two fathers who have experienced the heartbreak of losing their daughters, as they share their personal stories, insights, and experiences of managing grief.
In the First Chapter, Serge and Lee introduce themselves and talk about their daughters. They share their emotional journey of grief, how they met, the Men Do Talk about the extraordinary coincidence of their daughters having the same name and a tattoo of their names on both their inner left arms. Maddie, Lee's daughter, died 15 years prior to Madelene, Serge's daughter, and neither knew about each other's tattoos. Both children died under different circumstances, and both men are at different stages of their grief journey.
Throughout the podcast, Serge and Lee will share their personal experiences and insights on their own stages of grief. They'll explore how grief can come in different forms and doesn't only relate to losing a child but also losing the child you thought you were going to have. They'll discuss how life-adapting situations such as chronic diagnosis, special needs diagnosis, life-limiting conditions, and terminal diagnosis can also cause grief.
"Men Do Talk" aims to encourage other men to share their stories and journeys, removing the stigma/taboo that men don't talk. It's for dads, fathers, grandfathers, uncles, brothers - anyone who wants to share their experiences and find comfort in knowing they are not alone.
Join Serge and Lee in exploring the many faces of grief and learning how to manage it. Their candid conversations and engaging storytelling will help you navigate your own grief journey. New chapters from the "Men Do Talk" Podcast are released fortnightly.
